Caffè Galliano s.n.c. is an artisan coffee production and sales company founded by Renzo Bugno in 1975 with headquarters in Quinto di Treviso in via Monsignor Tognana 37. The History The story of our Roasting is not born from an entrepreneur with a dream in the drawer and not even from some brilliant marketing strategy. It’s the story of a little boy named Renzo who, from an early age, has been hanging around the bar of Father Galliano Bugno’s tavern. Renzo starts to work very early, helping his parents and he can not imagine that the espresso machine, which starts to maneuver almost as a joke, will become in the future a fundamental tool of his work. In 1965, together with his parents and brother, he opened the pizzeria Galliano, which he managed for several years and made known to everyone as "Galliano". Then Renzo opened a small shop in Mestre (Venice) where he began selling loose coffee. He immediately decided to get away from his supplier and start his own business by learning how to toast coffee for his "Bottega". He installed in his garage the first toaster, a 30kg Petroncini, starting to toast his own coffee. From there starts the adventure. What better name for your coffee than that of the father who passed away a few years ago? This is how "Caffè Galliano" was born the brand that distinguishes our company. At this point, slowly, begins to produce coffee not only for the shop in Mestre but also for other bars, restaurants, and resale in the area between Treviso and Venice. Meanwhile the small garage of the house, expanded several times, begins to be too tight. In 1992 the company moved to a well-equipped warehouse in Quinto di Treviso and, while maintaining a craftsmanship, began to invest a lot of resources on innovation. Renzo’s knowledge has been handed down over the years to his son Luca Bugno, who today is the owner of Caffè Galliano s.n.c., and that carries on with passion and attention to detail the family tradition assisted by a young and motivated staff that takes care of the entire production process and the careful selection of green coffees from all over the world. Particular attention is given to the roasting cycle that takes place with long times and individually roasting each individual origin to enhance its characteristics. Currently the company is present not only on the Italian market, but also abroad: in fact Caffè Galliano exports its brand to Austria, Germany, Greece, England, Bosnia, Poland, Sweden, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Switzerland, Kosovo. 80% of its production is for catering, but produces a wide range of household products and blends for automatic distribution and industry.
